Refund policy

Your confidence in every purchase matters to us. We want you to be completely satisfied with your Bow Tie Lab Diamonds jewelry. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the Return & Refund Policy set out below.

 

Return Window & Initiation

• Return requests must be initiated within 15 days of the carrier-confirmed delivery date. Requests submitted after this period cannot be accepted.
• To start a return, email us at contact@bowtielabdiamonds.com with your order number. We will confirm authorization before you ship anything back.
• Once your return is authorized, we provide a prepaid, fully insured return label. Please use only the label we issue — self-shipped returns are not insured by us and may be refused.

 

Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for a refund, the item must be:

• Unworn, unaltered, and in its exact original condition
• Free from any signs of wear, resizing, or damage
• Returned with all original certificates, boxes, and accessories

Every diamond is unique. Any signs of wear, alteration, resizing, or damage will void return eligibility. All returns are subject to inspection and final approval.

 

Restocking Fee & Return Shipping
Customer-initiated returns (for example, a change of mind or fit) are subject to the following, both deducted from your refund:

• A 20% restocking fee, calculated on the item's purchase price
• A return shipping fee of $50 (within the United States) or $100 (international)

Example:

• Purchase price: $2,000
• Restocking fee (20%): −$400
• Return shipping: −$50
• Refund issued: $1,550 to your original payment method

These charges apply only to returns made for personal preference. They do not apply when the return is our responsibility — see "Defects & Our Responsibility" below.

 

Inspection & Refund Process

• All returned items undergo a thorough quality inspection by our specialists upon arrival at our facility.
• Once the piece passes inspection, your refund — less the restocking and return shipping fees where applicable — is issued to your original payment method, typically within 5 to 7 business days of inspection.
• If an item fails inspection, the return will be rejected and the item returned to you. Bow Tie Lab Diamonds reserves the right to decline any return that does not meet these conditions.

 

Resizing & Alterations

• Ring band sizing: One complimentary band resizing per order. Round-trip shipping is the customer's responsibility.
• Carat upgrade (larger center stone): Available at the price difference. Return shipping for the upgrade is the customer's responsibility.
• Tennis jewelry length adjustment: One complimentary length adjustment per order. Round-trip shipping is the customer's responsibility.

 

Defects & Our Responsibility
If a return is our responsibility, you receive a full refund with no restocking fee, and we cover all shipping. This applies when:

• Your item arrives with a manufacturing defect
• You received the wrong item
• The piece was not made to the specifications you ordered

In these cases, contact us within 15 days of delivery and we will repair, replace, or fully refund the item at no cost to you.

 

Custom & Final Sale Items
Custom, personalized, and made-to-order pieces — including any item resized, engraved, or modified to your specification — are final sale and not eligible for return, except in the case of a manufacturing defect.

 

Late or Unauthorized Returns
Returns received after the 15-day window, or without prior authorization, will not be processed. Such items will be held until return shipping is arranged and returned to you, fully insured. Bow Tie Lab Diamonds assumes no responsibility for unauthorized or late returns.

 

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you have any concern about a charge or refund, please contact us before opening a dispute with your card issuer — in most cases we can resolve it faster and more directly. Should a dispute arise, we may provide delivery confirmation, inspection records, and product documentation to your payment processor to help resolve it accurately.

 

Policy Enforcement
Bow Tie Lab Diamonds reserves the right to deny returns that do not meet these requirements and to modify this policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs your order.
